About Shavonne
Shavonne is a speech-language pathologist with over 13 years of experience treating adults with various speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders from various settings. She received her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida in Tampa in August 2010. She completed her clinical fellowship at a skilled nursing facility in Florida before moving to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to serve as an acute care clinician and army wife to her loving husband, Christopher.
Shavonne soon returned to Florida and spent seven years working in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation departments, specializing in TBI, stroke, head and neck cancer treatment, and wellness programs.
As Shavonne approached her tenth year of speech therapy services, she decided to work towards developing her own rehabilitation company, resulting in the establishment of Proclaim Communication and Rehabilitation Services LLC in 2022.
Shavonne is a five-time ASHA ACE award-winning clinician. This award recognizes SLPs who go above and beyond the required continuing education requirements to ensure evidence-based care for their clients. She completed her MBA in Healthcare Management from West Texas A&M University. Her professional memberships include the Corporate Speech Pathology Network (CORSPAN), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
